Volunteer at ALTENER in Costa Rica
Foundation ALTENER does not have a payroll, which means that we depend entirely on our volunteers. We welcome engaged and independent volunteers who are looking to become involved, but also to gain some valuable experience and knowledge in the functioning of nonprofits. We expect a minimum commitment of one month at our office in San Isidro del General, but we prefer longer stays. We take care of our volunteers, and in return we expect dedication and honest involvement.

Our dream volunteers should be:

What kind of work do volunteers typically do?

• Developing, executing and evaluating our current projects;
• Maintaining existing partnerships, searching for partner organizations, developing our network of friends and sponsors.
• Fundraising;
• Creating educational materials and developing educational
  programs on renewable energy;
• Taking care of our website and social media;
• Developing and constantly improving the functioning of the foundation.

What do we offer our volunteers?

• Internship opportunity - if you are looking for an internship within your studies, ALTENER provides such a chance;
• Accommodation and compensation for food expenses, depending on the commitment and results of your work;
• A chance to widen your knowledge on renewable energy and working at an NGO in Latin America;
